Easter magic in Armenia – traditions and enjoyment

Easter is a wonderful time to open our hearts to all that is beautiful and to feel the love of God. It is a great opportunity to make your Easter holidays unforgettable. We are offering a great trip to Armenia. Join us, and we will give you unforgettable emotions!

The tour can be conducted in German, Russian, French, Italian, and English.

Day 1: 19.04.2025 – City tour

✅ Tour of the modern city center
✅ Masterclass in making the herb bread Zhengyalov Hats, followed by a tasting and a glass of wine
✅ Visit to the historic Kond neighborhood – one of the oldest districts of Yerevan
✅ Visit to the largest cathedral in Yerevan, St. Gregory the Illuminator, and participation in the Easter service
✅ Dinner with a festive Easter menu in an authentic Armenian restaurant or guesthouse

Day 2: 20.04.2025 – Easter ceremony and hidden treasures of Armenia

✅ Early morning drive to Echmiadzin
✅ Visit to Hripsime Church
✅ The Cathedral of the Mother of God in Echmiadzin (UNESCO World Heritage Site)
✅ Attendance at the solemn Easter mass in the Cathedral of Echmiadzin
✅ Visit to the ruins of Zvartnots Cathedral (UNESCO World Heritage Site)
✅ Lunch at a winery with traditional Easter dishes
✅ Visit to the ‘Vernissage’ art and souvenir market

Day 3: 21.04.2025 – Nature and ancient monasteries

✅ Drive to the Tavush region
✅ Walk through the small center of the town of Dilijan (‘Armenian Switzerland’)
✅ Visit to Haghartsin Monastery, idyllically situated in the middle of the forests of Dilijan
✅ Visit to the Old Believer Russians, the Molokans, and enjoy tea from a samovar – accompanied by cake
✅ Drive to Sevanavank Monastery on Lake Sevan
✅ Early dinner at the home of a famous chef
✅ Return to Yerevan

Day 4: 22.04.2025 – Nature and spiritual places

✅ Visit to Khor Virap Monastery with breathtaking views of the biblical Mount Ararat
✅ Drive along the Azat Reservoir with a photo stop
✅ Exploration of the Geghard Cave Monastery (UNESCO World Heritage Site) and the Pagan Sun Temple of Garni
✅ Authentic lunch with a local family with freshly baked lavash from the tonir
✅ Walk through the impressive Azat Gorge
✅ Return journey to Yerevan

Day 5: 23.04.2025 – Gyumri – Discover Armenia's cultural capital

✅ Departure from Yerevan to Gyumri (approx. 2-hour drive)
✅ Arrival in Gyumri and walk through the historic city center
✅ Discovery of the old town with its unique black tuff houses
✅ Visit to the churches of Surb Amenaprkich (Church of the Savior) and the Seven Wounds of the Virgin Mary
✅ Visit to the Dzitoghtsyan Museum, which presents the history and culture of Gyumri
✅ Lunch in a traditional restaurant
✅ Visit to a local handicraft center to learn about traditional Gyumri ceramics and wood carvings
✅ Return journey to Yerevan
