This Breast Cancer Awareness Month at listen to personal messages from shoot participants, inspiring talks by Cancer Survivors and valuable insights from a panel of Medical Experts. Five special guest speakers each of whom are Cancer survivors will share their inspiring stories on life before & after Cancer. The panel of four medical experts will offer valuable insights on diverse topics such as the importance of early detection, surgery & post surgery care, fear of recurrence, importance of oral health and on the importance of self care and mental wellness as an aid to healing.”

Some messages have the power to humble you & make your heart swell!! “Feeling Grateful” for this heart felt message shared by Sandya a participant of 2021.

“Hello, I’m Sandhya Rajgopal, a wife, mom, grand mom. I’m a native of Palaghat, Kerala, born & raised in Bengaluru. Living in Dubai for 21 years. I was an entrepreneur up until 2019. That year, unexpectedly, I was diagnosed with IDC, right Breast Cancer. There was no family history or other health complications prior to this.
Several scans & biopsies later, I underwent Chemotherapy & Surgery, followed by 33 fractions of Radiotherapy. I’m currently on Hormonal Therapy. It has been quite the ride!

Fortunately, I’ve been blessed with a wonderful support system of family & friends & in this country, the medical & social support has been super.
I connected with Pink Day To Shine in 2019, post all my active treatments & have met some fabulously strong warriors who have some very empowering stories to tell.

I believe I speak for all the women who have connected with Nithya, the powerhouse behind this project, when I say Nithya has helped make us be seen, heard & given us a great platform to connect & heal & be the voice of change by helping spread awareness.
A stupendously strong woman, who has selflessly & tirelessly worked to further this mission- 3 years & growing- more power to you Nithya!
