Ms. Suaad Sultan Al-Shamsi graduated from Coventry University with MBA in Aviation Management. She also holds a degree in Aerospace Engineering from Hertfordshire University along with a Bachelor’s degree in Aviation Management from Coventry University in UK. She is in the process of beginning her next step this year with PhD.
She embarked on this journey in the aviation industry when she joined many leading companies involved in aviation, such as Tps1, AMS, Honeywell, and messier Bugatti, etc.
She was one of the very few lady volunteers who helped in the Europe project dealing with the design and manufacture of a two seater airplane. Further to the above training she had been trained in aircraft engineering field in Messier Bugatti, Honeywell, Kunz, and Airbus and Boeing. She joined Emirates airlines as first aircraft engineer where she was in charge in wheels & brakes workshop, catering to the growing demands of a fast moving and dynamic airline.
She is an alumni member of the Emirates association in the UK, member of IEEE, and her goal is to open the space for other forward thinking, help dynamic women to join the aviation industry and also to be an active member in woman engineering in Arab world.
Recipient of many awards including the Najm Gold Award from the Emirates Group Fast Track Award from Emirates Airline, Emaratia Shield Privilege in Abu Dhabi and Creative Women in Aviation Engineering Award by Sheikha Fatima Bint Khalid Al Qasimi.
She has represented United Arab Emirates at the Shanghai Expo 2010 and functioned in Qatar as a jury member in the Star of Science program with Dr. Farouk El-Baz, NASA's foremost scientists. Her name is included in the creative women in UAE Wikipedia by Her Highness Sheikha Shamsa, wife of Sheikh Khalifa.
