At Dubai Design Week’s 11th edition, textures and materials took center stage as designers pushed boundaries of innovative and thoughtful design.
Image 1: ‘Woven Forest’ by Designlab Experience transformed hand woven bamboo baskets into sculptural forms.
Image 2: ‘A Design Wish’ used cubes and mixed materials as building blocks for shared expressions.
Image 3: DEOND’s ‘Exsalted’ featured prismatic panels made from 3D-printed recycled polymer.
Image 4: DuneCrete, a low-carbon concrete using desert sand from Al Ain, was highlighted at ARDH Collective’s ‘A Space Within’.

مستوحاة من كلمة “إليه” في لغة اليوروبا التي تعني “المنزل”، أعادت Bootleg Griot تصوّر المكتبة كمساحة دافئة وجماعية تدعو الزوّار لاكتشاف فنون السرد والهجرة والتاريخ المشترك من خلال السينما والحوار والأداء.
