Emirati Children’s Day
Today we celebrate our Emirati children, their curiosity, confidence, culture and bright futures 🌟
At Hummingbird, we are proud to support children during the most important early years, nurturing their wellbeing, identity and love of learning in a safe and inclusive environment.
By celebrating Emirati culture, values and traditions, we help children develop a strong sense of belonging, pride and respect from an early age.
🌟 Distance Learning – Hummingbirds in Action! 🎨
Our Hummingbird families had a wonderful time today exploring colour sorting at home! Children enjoyed sorting different objects by colour, using items they could find around the house such as toys, blocks, pom-poms, other toys and small objects.
Our little learners became curious investigators as they looked closely at colours, grouped items together, and discovered how many things share the same shade. Through this playful activity, children practiced observing, comparing, and organising while having lots of fun! 🎨
Colour sorting helps children develop:
✨ Early maths and classification skills
✨ Colour recognition and vocabulary
✨ Problem solving and logical thinking
✨ Fine motor skills and coordination
✨ Focus and concentration
When children explore colours through play, they begin to understand patterns, similarities, and differences in the world around them 🌟

Our Hummingbird families had a magical time today exploring small world fairy play at home! Children created their own enchanting fairy worlds using natural materials, tiny figures, stones, and miniature houses.
Our little storytellers used their imagination to build fairy gardens, magical forests, and tiny homes for their fairies. Through small world play, children invented stories, created adventures, and explored their creativity.🧚♀️🌸
