Saudi Aramco issued a Solicitation of Interest (SOI) for the Expansion of Gas Compression & Handling Facilities at the Shedgum Gas Plant, re-launching procurement for a major gas infrastructure project in Saudi Arabia's Eastern Province.
The EPC scope includes the construction of a new gas compression plant with a processing capacity of 512 MMSCFD of raw non-associated Khuff gas, together with gas compression trains, gas-liquid separation facilities, condensate handling systems, substations, utilities, flare systems, and associated infrastructure. The project also includes brownfield modifications to integrate the new facilities with the existing Shedgum Gas Plant.
The development will enhance gas recovery, increase compression capacity, and support the long-term production of the Shedgum field, reinforcing Saudi Aramco's continued investment in expanding the Kingdom's natural gas infrastructure to meet rising domestic energy demand.

Executive Council Approves New 15km Elevated Road in Dubai
Dubai's Executive Council has approved the First Al Khail Street Development Plan, advancing one of the emirate’s largest planned road infrastructure projects to improve east-west connectivity and ease congestion across key urban corridors.
The project comprises a 15-kilometre elevated road running parallel to Sheikh Zayed Road with three lanes in each direction. The scope includes elevated structures, interchanges, bridge connections, utility diversions, drainage systems, intelligent transport systems (ITS), and associated road infrastructure designed to increase network capacity and improve traffic flow.
Once completed, the corridor is expected to benefit around 2.6 million residents by increasing road capacity by approximately 9,000 vehicles per hour and reducing peak-hour travel times on Sheikh Zayed Road by up to 51%, strengthening connectivity between Al Barsha, Al Quoz, Business Bay, and Meydan.
