The purpose of this post is 𝐍𝐎𝐓 to shame any food choices 🙅🏻‍♀️ but to provide you with the tools to make informed decisions 💡 ⁣

Focusing on one aspect of food can have you blinded to all its other components ⁣

I used a generic example ⤴️ take an Apple 🍎 & Kit Kat bar, both red on the outside & their sugar component is 22 g each / comparison stops there right? NOPE⁣

While similar in their sugar composition, on the inside they bring different benefits to the table. An apple, naturally occurring, will have natural antioxidants & minerals — the chocolate bar on the other hand doesn’t have those nutrients therefore, your eyes shouldn’t stop at the sugar content on the nutrition table ⁣

Now this doesn’t mean one is “healthier” than the other. The health umbrella is 𝐇𝐔𝐆𝐄 ⁣
& it includes overall physical, mental & emotional well-being. If the chocolate bar is what you need occasionally to feel good & makes you happy ✨ then by all means go for it & I support that decision 💪🏻 ⁣

Understanding food & its compositions help you understand foods as a whole so next time someone falsely claims that these foods are the same you can stop them with science 🧪 ⁣
