The purpose of this post is 𝐍𝐎𝐓 to shame any food choices 🙅🏻♀️ but to provide you with the tools to make informed decisions 💡
Focusing on one aspect of food can have you blinded to all its other components
I used a generic example ⤴️ take an Apple 🍎 & Kit Kat bar, both red on the outside & their sugar component is 22 g each / comparison stops there right? NOPE
While similar in their sugar composition, on the inside they bring different benefits to the table. An apple, naturally occurring, will have natural antioxidants & minerals — the chocolate bar on the other hand doesn’t have those nutrients therefore, your eyes shouldn’t stop at the sugar content on the nutrition table
Now this doesn’t mean one is “healthier” than the other. The health umbrella is 𝐇𝐔𝐆𝐄
& it includes overall physical, mental & emotional well-being. If the chocolate bar is what you need occasionally to feel good & makes you happy ✨ then by all means go for it & I support that decision 💪🏻
Understanding food & its compositions help you understand foods as a whole so next time someone falsely claims that these foods are the same you can stop them with science 🧪
