Branding vs Marketing: two essential pieces to the business puzzle 🧩

👉🏽 READ THIS: Before hiring a social media manager, business owners need to have a clear understanding of the goals and objectives of their social media strategy.

✅ They should have a well-defined target audience (this means that they have a clear message that HAS BEEN PROVEN TO resonate with that audience), and a plan for how the social media manager will help them achieve their goals.

✅ Having the budget to pay for a social media manager is also a given - plus any other expenses like software tools or services (scheduling software, stock photos/images, etc.) The higher the social media manager's rates are, the more experience they have and the more they'll be able to advise and strategize with you. So if you need a lot of guidance vs. already have a pretty good handle on things, you'll need to budget accordingly.

✅ Be open! Your social media manager is the expert here - be flexible with following their advice like how often posts go up, what types of content to post, etc.
✅ Be patient! Social media isn't a slot machine - you can't just post a few times and expect a return on your investment. It's a long game! You're marketing to real life humans behind those account names. It can take several months (at the minimum) to start seeing sales come through.
