MIT and Harvard's engineers have taken the COVID protection game one step further with a prototype on a virus-detecting face mask. According to Science Daily, the masks are made with tiny, disposable sensors that can diagnose the wearer with COVID-19 all within 90 minutes of continued wear. The sensors are based on freeze-dried cellular machinery that can be incorporated not just for face masks but also other forms of clothing as well. This potential breakthrough offers a new way to monitor health and improve protection against the virus, especially for frontliners continuously exposed on a daily basis.

The low-code technology of artificial intelligence and machine learning has made innovations possible for kids.
During the Silicon Valley Synopsys Science Fair 2020, a whopping 31% of AI-based software winners with 27% of them built by students between grades 6 to 8. An impressive feat that shows the benefits of low-code tools to bringing technological innovation to young people.
One winner, Anika Pallapothu, an eighth-grader who created a Convolutional Neural Network details shows AI-based technology can be used to detect diabetic retinopathy from eye scans.
These achievements show how much the technological landscape has become more accessible for fresher minds. The next generation is made even more promising with the help of artificial intelligence.
