First PhD graduate heralds the start of an era of innovation | The National The first PhD student to graduate from Masdar Institute of Science and Technology is an important step forward, writes Youssef Shatilla.

Networking can be one of the most powerful and productive activities an individual can do to launch and manage their career.
MI Alumni office is planning to arrange for an Alumni Speed Networking event.
10th of March 2015.
Speed networking is a structured and fast paced networking event allowing students and Alumni to interact with each other, typically in a series of brief one-on-one information exchange, basically each Alumni will sit on a round table and each 4 students will be timed to network with Alumni by moving across all tables.

The fast pace of this kind of event contributes to a high level of energy in the room and basically the main target is to share information in a dynamic way.

What is the Alumni role during the event?
Alumni role is to give brief about their experience in MI and career path after graduation:
- What was their program?
- Work placement/ position?
- How did they look for a job?
And etc.. Some people like speed networking because you get right to the point and there is no time for small talk.

Therefore we need our Alumni help to print a positive impression on MI student.

MI Alumni Office is going to have a booth in the Green Careers Fair Exhibit. As a result, we would like to ask for volunteers to man this booth during WFES week.

It would be ideal if you are able to cover the booth over a 2 hour period during the Summit, with the objective of promoting MI Alumni at such a prestigious forum to incoming guests, employers,…. Please feel free to choose a slot and sign up by sending me the time suits you at the following link:
