**DUTY-FREE REBATES FOR CIVIL SERVANTS APPLICATION PROCESS:**

1. Pay for the vehicle to receive an invoice/Proforma invoice and Bill of Landing.

2. Write an application letter to the relevant Ministry, including:
(a) Driver’s Licence
(b) Invoice(s) of purchased vehicle(s)
(c) Payslip
(d) Proof of residence

3. The respective Ministry will vet the applicant and, if successful, issue a recommendation letter to the Public Service Commission.

4. The Public Service Commission will also review the papers and, if successful, issue a recommendation to the Ministry of Finance and Economic Development.

5. Upon success, the Ministry of Finance and Economic Development issues a letter authorizing the applicant to import under rebate and copies the Commissioner of the Zimbabwe Revenue Authority (ZIMRA).

6. The applicant contacts the local ZIMRA office near their residence or workplace to submit a rebate application (which can also be done via email).
