How did you choose your specialisation within digital marketing? ✏️
My journey into digital marketing was not a straight line at all. Looking back from when I left school to now, I see I was always interested in marketing. Every billboard, cheap one liner on a mug, or brochure at traffic lights caught my attention.
I mainly liked the art and design parts because I thought they were cool. But now, I see that I was always curious about how these things made people feel.
I began my career in the printing business, where creating labels for water bottles was the best part of my day. A few years later, I moved on to bigger tasks that came with more pressure, like making billboards. Any small mistake there could mean hours of extra work, redesigning, and not to mention, a bit more than just pocket change lost. That’s when I realised I actually enjoyed the challenge. Once I dived into the world of online marketing, there was no turning back.
