VSI PRESENTS MENTAL HEALTH ACTIVITIES TO THE NATIONAL MENTAL HEALTH TECHNICAL WORKING GROUP

Being a member of the National Mental Health Technical Working Group anchored by the Ministry of Health ZambiaπŸ‡ΏπŸ‡², has presented its 2026 student-centric Mental Health activities to the working group, fulfilling annual reporting requirements.

The Working Group reviewed 2025 data and performance, aligning efforts to tackle Zambia's mental health challenges. The meeting drew representatives from 23+ institutions, including Strong Minds, Sanity House, Lifeline/Childline Zambia, and CIDRZ.

VSI COMMENDS ZYDF FOR HOSTING YOUTH EXCELLENCE AWARDS

salutes the Zambia Youth Delivery Forum - ZYDF for successfully hosting the Zambia Youth Excellence Awards ceremony. The awards celebrated Zambian youth driving positive change, economic growth, and impactful work. Categories included Sector Awards, Leadership, Media, and Civic Impact.

The event was graced by Her Honour the Vice President of the Republic of Zambia Ms. Mutale Nalumango, represented by the Permanent Secretary (Youth & Sport) in the Ministry of Youth, Sport and Arts Mr. Chileshe Kangwa.

The Vice President commended the initiative for creating a platform that not only celebrates achievement but also redefines how youth are positioned in society.

ZYDF remains committed to recognizing and amplifying youth excellence in Zambia's development agenda.

VSI ATTENDS LAUNCH OF THE NATIONAL CRITICAL SKILLS LIST πŸ‡ΏπŸ‡²

On invitation by the Ministry of Labour and Social Security Zambia, has attended the launch of the National Critical Skills List, the inaugural National Apprenticeship Programme, and Sector Skills Strategies for agriculture, energy, and tourism.

The Apprenticeship Programme and the Critical Skills List form part of a broader, coordinated system that links training, employment, and economic development.

This move forms part of government's πŸ‡ΏπŸ‡² continued commitment to institutionalizing and strengthening work-based learning, as well as ensuring that investments in skills development are targeted and impactful.

The event was graced by the Minister of Labor and Social Security Hon. Brenda Tambatama MP. The process has been supported by the International Labour Organization (ILO) and the European Union (EU).
