I get people who are on ART sending me a tester on which they tested themselves and saying they are now HIV negative. This does not mean you are now HIV negative. It simply means your body is not producing a lot of antibodies for HIV due to good adherence. The moment you stop taking ARVs the virus will start replicating again. So you people who are told by your papas(ba pente especially 😑) that you have been healed because you tested negative on a rapid test are fooling yourselves. This is a false negative. If you did a PCR test it will come out positive. That's why people who are on effective ART are not encouraged to use a rapid test for HIV testing. Once positive, always positive.
