UNZA Light-up

What an event it was, PHASE 1📌 Launch 📌

We are very much pleased to confirm the partnership with ZANACO Bank in lighting up UNZA and making it a safe environment for all students.

Mr Vincent Chunga (Chief Operations Officer) congratulated the LIGHT UP UNZA team, led by Sally Banda a fifth year Veterinary Student, on understanding that, as a student/youth, one is not only supposed to find/complain about the problems being faced, but rather should be able to bring up ideas and be the lead for the solutions, because that alone is too youth empowerment by the youths themselves.🤌🏾

ZANACO has therefore pledged to get 27 lights of which each is valued at k7,030 to the team to help with the initiative and bring about safety in the institution.

The Secretary to the Cabinet Mr. Patrick Kangwa was the Guest of Honor as he launched the initiative as PHASE 1📌

We as the light up UNZA team are very grateful to this empowerment and we are focused on fixing the problem OURSELVES (All students) and not waiting on management to fix it.

Gratitude is always a must 🙏🏾🙂

All hands on deck as we push for the last preparations on the light up UNZA Campaign, as we launch it, a first in history at the University of Zambia.
This will be done on Friday the 8th of April 2026.
