The Truth Stood Behind Me Smiling

I saw her eyes light up when I placed it in her hands — the carefully chosen words, the painted promises, the version of myself I knew she wanted. It was beautiful, flawless even, but it wasn’t real.

Behind me, the truth stood silently, arms folded, wearing that familiar smile — not mocking, not angry… just knowing. The kind of smile that says, “You’ll come back to me eventually.”

She didn’t ask questions. Maybe she saw the cracks beneath the shine, but she didn’t flinch. People don’t always want honesty. Sometimes they want comfort. Sometimes they want the dream. And I gave her that — something prettier.

It wasn’t the first time I’d done it. Lied through omission. Painted over the parts of me that felt too sharp, too complicated. It’s easier to be liked when you’re polished. But each time I did, I could feel the truth taking a step back, giving me space to dig my own grave.

For a while, everything felt perfect. She smiled more. I played the part. But slowly, that truth — patient and persistent — began to show up in my silence, in the parts of the story I couldn’t keep straight, in the weight behind my smiles. And when it finally broke through, it wasn’t loud. It was quiet. A sigh. A sentence that didn’t add up. A moment of stillness too long.

She looked at me then, not angry… just lost. As if she had just met me for the first time.

And maybe she had.

Because the thing about handing someone something prettier is, one day they’ll ask why it broke so easily in their hands.

It is these people who create every bit of warmth in your life, it is this warmth that helps you dispel the darkness, and it is this warmth that makes you an honest person.

Difference between a Petrol engine and a diesel engine

The technical difference is that a diesel motor uses compression to a combust, and a standard gasoline fuel engine uses an ignition source for combustion.. terms of operation the diesel motor is a much simpler and more reliable design. And gets more of the energy out of the fuel.... diesel engines come with limitations of physics that dictate its application, while a gasoline motor does not suffer them limitations and will be able to repeat the combustion cycle at a very high rate..

The gasoline engine uses speed (rpm) and gearing to produce an output torque sufficient enough to complete operation...

A diesel uses its efficiency with a larger pressure to produce higher torque at lower RPMs, while still suffering the physical limitations of the operation
