Teaching children about cholera can be done in a simple and age-appropriate manner. Use clear language to explain that cholera is a waterborne disease caused by bacteria and can lead to severe diarrhea. Emphasize the importance of clean water, proper hygiene, and sanitation practices to prevent its spread. Visual aids and interactive activities can make the learning experience engaging for children.... cholera don't joke..it kills
1. Honey is not good for diabetics.
2. Children below 2yrs should not be given promethazine.
3. Ciprofloxacin may harm the bone development of children.
4. Paracetamol will work faster on an empty stomach.
5. Don’t take Diclofenac, Brufen, or Indocid on an empty stomach.
👉 You’re not to take NSAIDs (Non-Steroidal Anti-Inflammatory Drugs eg Diclofenac, ibuprofen, felvin etc) on an empty stomach. Make sure you eat first before making use of NSAIDs taking them on an empty stomach will irritate your stomach and increase your risks of ulcer.
If you already have ulcer taking NSAIDs on an empty stomach can predispose you to gastrointestinal bleeding which can be very serious.
👉You can take paracetamol with or without food. Taking it without food will make it work faster this is because it will absorb much faster.
👉 Animal studies conducted using ciprofloxacin showed that juvenile (young) animals developed arthropathy (i.e it harmed their joint development) after use. This is why Ciprofloxacin is contraindicated in children.
Interestingly, in practice, clinicians have closely monitored pediatric patients treated with ciprofloxacin and so far, serious cartilage toxicity is yet to be seen. This still doesn’t totally guarantee it safety in children so whenever Ciprofloxacin is used in children it should be used with caution. And it is also important to note that children react differently. In some children it might not affect their joints while in others it might as such caution is advised.
👉 👉👉👉 Make sure you see your healthcare provider for all the medications your child is taking. Don’t play with you child. Don’t make them suffer for your mistakes.
👉 What is this promethazine? What is it even used for ? And why should you not give it to children ?
I have answers for you.
Promethazine sold under brands names commonly known as “Phenergan” is used as an anti-emetic (i.e it is used to prevent nausea and vomiting).
Promethazine should not be given to babies or children who are younger than 2years old and should be given with caution to children who are 2years of age or older. This is because promethazine can cause severe breathing problems or death in very young children.
👉Giving someone who is diabetic honey is like giving them sugar. Honey is not to be used as sugar substitute for diabetics.
Honey consists of different types of sugars, of which fructose and glucose are the major contributors. About 40% of honey or more is made up of fructose.
Someone who is dealing with diabetes and trying to stabilize and keep his sugar under control do not need honey. They don’t need sugar at all. Because the more they have sugar in their system the more the problem progresses and it can become really damaging.
You don’t give someone who is having problem with sugar more sugar. You are just killing the person.
It’s important you know this, if you’re diabetic, totally cutting off sugar is the first step to victory and long and healthy life.
