Save and Remit

Over the past two weeks, our team at Save and Remit Services has been on the ground in Kabwe, Mumbwa, and Shibuyunji districts under the SNV YEE+ Phase II Project, and the experience has been both impactful and inspiring. We successfully on-boarded 27 Youth Savings and Lending Groups (YSLGs) on to the Save and Remit Application, reaching over 500 youths people, with each group averaging at least 15–25 members.
Across all three districts, our focus has remained clear: to anchor financial inclusion at grassroots level by equipping young people with the tools, knowledge, and confidence to manage their finances in a more secure, transparent, and efficient way. Through hands-on training sessions, live demonstrations, and guided on-boarding, we are strengthening financial literacy, simplifying how savings and loans are managed, and helping young people transition from manual systems to digital platforms that promote accountability and trust within their groups.
More importantly, we are helping to create digital financial footprints for youths who have traditionally been excluded from formal financial systems. By doing so, we are opening up pathways to greater opportunities, including access to insurance, credit, and other financial services that can support their growth and resilience. This is what it truly means to be a financial inclusion company — not just providing a service, but transforming lives and livelihoods.
Our collaboration with the SNV Netherlands Development Organisation continues to be a strong driver of this impact, as we work together to deliver on their mission of creating “Impact that Matters” in communities that need it most.
This work is especially significant as we celebrate the month of March, dedicated to women and youths, and aligned with this year’s global themes of “Arise and Soar” and “Give to Gain.” We are seeing these themes come to life in the field, particularly through the active participation of young women who are stepping up, taking leadership roles, and embracing digital financial solutions. At the same time, the spirit of collective growth and shared responsibility within savings groups reflects the essence of giving to gain — where small, consistent contributions lead to meaningful progress for individuals and communities alike.
