The church members are not under your grace but the grace of God. You are just a Shepard who is also under the grace of God. No one can operate under your grace but the grace of God. The Holy Spirit can touch many people in the church but doesn't mean it's the grace of a pastor touching people. You can't prophesy under the grace of human being, you can heal people under the grace of a pastor or conduct deliverance but the same Spirit working in a pastor can work with any follower or member. You can't tap the grace from a human being but the same Spirit working in that human being can also work with you. We all rely on the grace of God.

It's important who you're spending time with. Evaluate your friendships: are they making you better, inspiring you, challenging you to go further? Or are they pulling you down, causing you to compromise, bringing out the worst in you? That's contaminating your atmosphere. You're going to become like the people you hang around. If your friends don't have what you want, if they're not going places, they don't have a good attitude, they're not faithful, trustworthy, then you need to make a change. Life is short. You don't have time to waste with people that are not adding to your life. Yes, we need to help others come up higher, but you need a few friends that help you come up higher. This is one of the main things that holds people back: if you will change who you're spending time with, your life will go to a new level.

Know this: In the last days perilous times will come. Men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, without natural affection, trucebreakers, slanderers, unrestrained, fierce, despisers those who are good, traitors, reckless, conceited, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God, having form of godliness, but denying its power. Turn away from such people. —2 TIMOTHY 3:1–5
