PROGRAM OVERVIEW
The Professional Domestic Work Course is a competency-based program designed to raise the standard of domestic service and hospitality training in South Africa. The curriculum is aligned with current employer requirements to ensure graduates are immediately employable.

CAREER PATHWAYS
Graduates will be qualified for employment opportunities in the following sectors:
1. Private Households: Professional Housekeepers, Private Chefs, Estate Managers
2. Corporate and Education Institutions: Cafeteria Staff, Cleaning Specialists in companies, universities, and retail outlets
3. Hospitality and Tourism: Room Attendants, Guest Relations Officers, Kitchen Assistants in lodges, hotels, and guest houses
4. Faith-Based and Community Organizations: Facility Caretakers, Hospitality Coordinators
5. Transport and Travel Services: Crew and service staff for rail, long-distance coach, airline, and airport hospitality operations

COURSE CONTENT
The program emphasizes practical, employer-driven skills:
1. Professional Communication: Workplace communication, client relations, confidentiality, and professional conduct
2. Culinary Arts: Meal planning, nutrition, food safety and hygiene, and professional food presentation
3. Laundry and Garment Care: Fabric identification, stain removal, and operation of modern laundry equipment
4. Advanced Cleaning Techniques: Deep cleaning of surfaces, safe handling and application of cleaning chemicals
5. Executive Housekeeping: Space management, inventory control, and maintenance of high-standard environments

Training Methodology: 80% Practical Application, 20% Theory. This approach ensures graduates are job-ready upon completion.

MODES OF TRAINING
1. Full-Time Contact: Intensive face-to-face practical training at designated centers
2. Online / Distance Learning: Self-paced study with virtual support. Best for those outside SA or from Limpopo.
3. Mobile Community Training: Group-based training delivered within communities
