There is to violence against women. β€οΈβ€πŸ©Ήβ£οΈβŒ

Nearly one in three women experience violence in their lifetime, and girls are at particular risk. Shockingly, one in four adolescent girls is abused by their partners.

For thousands of women, the cycle of gender-based violence ends with a brutal actβ€”their murder at the hands of their partners and family members.

Femicide (or feminicide) is the intentional killing of a woman or girl because of her gender. It is a global crisis and the most extreme, visible, and heartbreaking form of gender-based violence that women and girls endure.

Violence against women and girls can and must be prevented. We all have a role to play in ending this cycle.
