Taking you back to day two of the Tsitsing Sewing Programme

As the programme was unfolding, I took a moment to reflect on something very important, why we are doing this work.

Our work is not just to teach people sewing or to use a sewing machine, the vision has always been bigger than sewing itself.

Our mission is Building the Economy through Technical Skills Training and Entrepreneurship Development.

We believe that when women and young people are equipped with practical skills, entrepreneurship knowledge and workplace readiness, they are empowered with more than just technical ability, they are empowered with choice, dignity and opportunity.

This program is about creating pathways towards economic inclusion and helping individuals discover their own potential.

Behind every stitch is a story.

Behind every participant is a future entrepreneur, a future employer, a Leader and someone capable of changing the circumstances of their family and community.

As I spoke in this video the excitement and hope were already visible, and now looking back we can see that the journey was already beginning to transform lives.

Economic Inclusion is a Human Right, and we are committed to creating opportunities one person at a time.
