Repo rate increased
In an already crunch-hard economy, the South African Reserve Bank recently announced an increase in the repo rate by 25 basis points.
This means the repo rate has increased from 6.75% to 7% - currently in effect.
Other rates are also affected by the repo rate, as can be seen in the accompanying table.
