My Journey in Short-Term Insurance: From Property to Providing Solutions
After many years in the property world, life led me down a new path when I began assisting my late husband in his Motor Assessing business. Suddenly, I was immersed in the world of short-term insurance, learning quickly as I took charge of running his office from the ground up. My days were filled with everything from managing debtors and creditors, invoicing, and coordinating daily tasks like connecting with panel beaters, insured clients, and insurance companies. I even typed up reports and, before the digital age truly took hold, delivered original documents in person and handled communications via fax machine.
Through dedication and hands-on experience, I built strong relationships and developed invaluable industry insight. After 23 years, my husband sadly passed away, marking a time of transition for me. Now, drawing on decades of experience, I am here to help others solve their short-term insurance admin challenges. π My Property Journey π
Before becoming a Virtual Assistant, I built my career in the property industry β starting as a PA to a Property Broker and quickly realising I wanted to understand the field properly. I completed the Advanced Property Management course through the Estate Agents Board Academy, including the Board Exam, and soon stepped into the role of Leasing Agent for Commercial, Retail, and Industrial properties.
I worked with privately owned buildings, handled leases, tenants, and day to day admin β and I loved it. When the company later closed that division, I was retrenched, but the knowledge and experience stayed with me.
Today, through Lava Virtual Assistant, I bring that same expertise to support your property management administration, leasing documentation, tenant communication, and portfolio organisation.
