SME Lightning Protection and Earthing

Well done again Christo Smith Photography with this awesome composite of lightning images over Durban. The summer lightning storms have arrived.

A thrilling display of lightning over Durban.

This evening an incredible thunderstorm came over Durban. The guys at the Radisson kindly let me use the view of their penthouse suite to take photos of the storm.

When I got there, the storm was rolling in from the distance. You could see the approaching strikes coming in over Durban, creeping closer, and you could hear the faraway thunder echoing over Durban, competing with the roar of the angry ocean below. You could also see the rain drawing in like a blanket over the city. Suddenly the storm was upon us and the wind and rain became too much and I had to retreat indoors.

When the rain started subsiding, I managed to capture the photo that I shared here. I'll share the other photos that I captured another time.
