I was thinking and Analysing our Community Theatre industry and wondered what's happened to Theatre Festival's which we're only showcases here in Durban not competitive one's cause this Showcase Theatre Festival's played a major role in development of show's or play's prior you take them to the likes of Nsika Men's Theatre Festival,IShashalazi Women Theatre Festival, Isigcawu Theatre Festival at Kcap...Or before you Audition your Show/Play for a slot at Either CAF Playhouse or Imbewu Art's Festival

As you will see where to improve what's to remove if necessary so is some of your emerging or new actor's to get a stage experience prior you take them to prominent Festivals so is getting note's from fellow actor's most importantly Directors and acting coaches ... it's important for those Showcase Theatre Festival's to make a return so that actor's will get a chance to perform cause as they now not happening the gap before going to a festival to perform is huge some get on stage rusty some with stage fright still not within their control as they inexperienced....so I plea with our fellow thespians let's increase or return the Showcase Theatre Festival's and support by all means necessary those trying to stage them as it's will be beneficial to all those involved stage it in a more central area (Durban)to avoid excessive costs of transportation
