🙋We’re coming together at Horse Shoe Bend Lifestyle Shopping Centre for a creative SUNDAY afternoon that does more than just keep your hands busy ... it helps raise funds toward a young local man’s life-saving medical costs. While we craft, plant and decorate, we’re also standing together as a community.
🌿 𝗞𝗼𝗸𝗲𝗱𝗮𝗺𝗮 𝗦𝗽𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗿 𝗣𝗹𝗮𝗻𝘁𝘀
Learn the Japanese art of wrapping plant roots in moss to create your own living, hanging masterpiece. It’s earthy, therapeutic and slightly messy (the good kind of messy). You’ll leave with a beautiful, low-maintenance spider plant that looks far more impressive than the effort required.

Crochet your own adorable little bee ~ no prior experience required. Whether you’re a seasoned hook wielder or someone who thinks “yarn tension” sounds stressful, this workshop will guide you stitch by stitch.

Decorate Easter-themed cookies with colourful royal icing and all the flair you can manage. It’s creative, slightly competitive and absolutely delicious. Yes, you get to take them home. Or eat them immediately. We don’t judge.
All three workshops will run simultaneously in different venues across Horse Shoe Bend Lifestyle Shopping Centre, so you can choose your creative lane and settle in for an afternoon of laughter, connection and purpose.

Hello everyone,

I hope that the beginning of 2026 has been good to everyone!

I am helping to raise funds for a very good friend of mine whose son was involved in a serious motorbike accident on Christmas Day which ruptured his bladder and broke his leg/foot in 3 places.

He had to have lifesaving surgery at a Private Hospital to repair his bladder and stop internal bleeding and was then transported to another Hospital as he does not have medical aid. He has since had one op on his leg to repair 2 breaks and is scheduled for a further op on his foot. He is still in hospital.

The medical bills from the private Hospital are already over R100 000 and they have started a Back a Buddy campaign – link below.

In a bid to help them raise funds I am raffling off one of my Crochet Horses (pics attached - it is very big). For each R50 donated on the Back a Buddy Campaign your name will be entered into the draw. (If you are able to donate pls private message me with a screenshot of your donation so I can put your name into the raffle). I will do a draw for the winner 31st January.

On a side note – Back a Buddy no longer take commission, so all of the funds raised go towards Jame’s medical costs.
