At its core, TEDxGeorge exists to bring people together.

In a world where we’re increasingly busy, distracted, and disconnected, we create space for meaningful conversations, fresh ideas, and human connection.

We believe that when people come together around ideas, remarkable things can happen - for individuals, for communities, and for the future.

Welcome to TEDXGeorge ❤️

Some events entertain you and keep you busy with quick networking.

While others are intentionally curated to ignite something within you, cause a shift, wake you up and maybe even challenge you a little.

All while meeting and connecting with people from different backgrounds and life experiences

TEDxGeorge is one of those experiences ❌

It’s a day where stories spark conversations, ideas challenge perspectives, and complete strangers become part of the same community.

A place where you’ll laugh, reflect, question, learn, and perhaps leave seeing the world - or yourself - a little differently.

This year’s theme ⬇️

RISE……celebrates the courage to keep moving forward.

Our speakers will explore what it means to rise through leadership, creativity, identity, wellness, innovation, culture, justice, and community.

As well as the talks…we encourage everyone to be present, as you may meet people you may never have crossed paths with.

Individuals from across the Garden Route, across South Africa….and yes even from across the globe 🌏

Sharing conversations over coffee and lunch.

Supporting local voices with ideas that deserve to be heard.

And playing a part in building something meaningful here in George.

If you’ve never experienced TEDx before, this is your invitation.

📍Join us on 8 August, at Fancourt

🎟 Tickets are available via Quicket

❌ SUPPORT TEDxGeorge ❌

Since launching in 2024, TEDxGeorge has grown into a platform for connection, conversation, and the sharing of ideas that inspire action.

We’ve seen significant increase of interest in TEDxGeorge, not just across the Garden Route, but nationally and internationally 🌍

Each year, we bring together thinkers, creatives, entrepreneurs, professionals, students, and community members from across the region and beyond - creating space for local voices to be heard, meaningful connections to be made, and new ideas to take root.

As we continue to grow, we’re inviting local businesses and organisations to be part of the journey.

Our micro-sponsorship opportunities have been designed specifically for small businesses who want to support the TEDxGeorge community in an accessible and meaningful way.

We’re looking to partner with organisations that can:

• Help us spread awareness through their networks and channels through collab campaigns

• Sponsor community tickets for students, creatives, and emerging leaders across the Garden Route

• Share a special offer, service, or experience with our TEDxGeorge audience on the day, or leading up to the event

Because building a stronger community takes all of us.

If you’d like to explore how your business can get involved, we’d love to start a conversation.

Ideas have the power to change people.

People have the power to change communities.

And communities have the power to shape the future.

That belief sits at the heart of TEDxGeorge.

What if changing a life didn't require a lifetime commitment?

In this powerful 2024 TEDxGeorge talk, Dr. Ansua Steyn shares how one act of service led to a life-changing surgery for a young girl - and how doctors donating just one day a month could help address critical healthcare gaps across South Africa.

You can view the full talk and other TEDxGeorge talks on Youtube.

Hey George 👋

It’s been a little quiet from us lately, but we’re still here - working away behind the scenes as we prepare for TEDxGeorge this August.

Life has a way of pulling us in different directions. Between work, family, responsibilities, and the day-to-day pressures we all carry, it’s easy to feel overwhelmed, or simply not quite where we’d hoped to be.

And that’s exactly why we brought TEDx to George.

TEDxGeorge is more than a one-day event.

It’s a space to pause.
To reconnect.
To hear stories that inspire, ideas that challenge, and perspectives that help us see the world, and ourselves - a little differently.

It’s a reminder that you’re not navigating this journey alone.

So if you’re craving connection, community, fresh thinking, or simply a day to step away from the noise for a while…..

TEDx has got you ❤️

We can’t wait to see you in August.

One thing that has always brought communities together is sound - and we felt that deeply at TEDxGeorge last year.

We were honoured to be joined by the incredibly talented Siyakhona Youth Group, whose performance filled the room with energy, emotion, and connection.

There were very few dry eyes in the room afterwards… and it only felt right to share a piece of that moment with you today.
