When people ask why.... This is why! When people say i couldnt do what you do... Well there is so much you could do...

Rescue is hard! Its thankless most days. The abuse from people when I say no or when im told im rude. The only reason you think im rude is because I cannot take responsibility for your pet. We do rehab. We do the hard cases. We do not do people's unwanted pets.

We pay for kennels and vet care. We pay until they go home. Most are long stays. When we say we need help this is why. We are all exhausted. Please consider that when calling at all hours of the day/night.

Duke isn't a pitbull (our specified breed) but because I saw him on the road about to go onto a freeway a couple of months ago
i felt like the timing was serendipitous I rescued him and we helped him. And because of my amazing friends in rescue SAFE (they knew how amazing he is from the kennels and time spent with him) they found him a home after he was fully healed in our care.

We do what we can. We are only human. We have jobs. We have pets at home and families. We have people depending on us. But we do this as much as we can to make the difference we can.
