I need you to stop negotiating with yourself.
You already know what needs to happen.
You know the habits that are holding you back. You know the conversation you need to have. You know the opportunity you’re avoiding. You know the discipline you’re refusing to commit to.
You know exactly what you need.
But every day you delay, justify, and negotiate, you move further away from the version of yourself you dream about becoming.
The life you want isn’t waiting for more motivation. It’s waiting for a decision.
Choose yourself.
And before you leave, let’s practice.
Stop negotiating.
Follow me or don’t.
But decide.
We need to be careful what we teach ourselves we’re willing to accept.
There hasn’t been a season in my life where I’ve been more intentional about demanding what I deserve than this one.
A friend recently told me she walked out of a salon appointment because they weren’t giving her what she had asked for. She could have stayed, tolerated it, and convinced herself it was “good enough,” but she didn’t. She decided she deserved better.
I think that’s the approach we need to take with life. Not from a place of entitlement, but from a place of self-respect. The things we consistently tolerate become the standards we set for ourselves.
Be clear about what you deserve. Be clear about your boundaries. And don’t be afraid to walk away from situations that require you to accept less than what you know is right for you.
