We are especially grateful to Swartland Municipality, and Stephan and his team, for helping us regularly fill the tank with non-potable water so that we can continue to care for and grow our beautiful park 🌿

Appreciation for Maintenance Work at Park Close

We would like to extend our sincere gratitude to the Swartland Municipality team for the excellent maintenance work recently carried out at Park Close.

The grass cutting was done beautifully and with great care — our plants and trees were well protected throughout the process, and even the grass within our Spekboom maze was perfectly trimmed.

We especially wish to thank Freddie and his team for their professionalism and attention to detail. Their hard work and dedication help keep Park Close a beautiful, safe, and welcoming space for the whole community.

🌿 Update on Park Close 🌼
We’ve noticed some concerns about the long grass at Park Close and wanted to share a bit more about what’s happening. The area hasn’t been neglected — in fact, it’s part of our plan! 🌱
We’ve recently sown wildflower seed and planted numerous plants, and we’re giving them time to settle and grow strong before we cut the area back at the end of October. This helps the roots establish properly and ensures a fuller, greener, and more sustainable space for everyone to enjoy. 🌾We are especially excited for the Wildflower Season 2026!
In the meantime, our picnic area under the trees is beautifully maintained and ready for visitors — perfect for a relaxing moment in nature. 🍃
