✅ Place several water bowls around the house. Cats usually drink more when they have more options available.
✅ Invest in a water fountain. Cats love moving water, so fountains are often a big hit.
✅ Change the water often. Even if there’s still water left at the end of the day, throw it away, clean the bowl and refill it with fresh, clean water. Change it at least twice a day.
✅ Add wet food to their diet. Wet food is usually very appealing to cats, and it’s also a tasty way to help them take in more water without even noticing.
✅ Keep water away from the litter box. Toilet areas and feeding areas should be separate, so never place food or water near the litter box.
✅ Add ice cubes to the water when it’s really hot. Some cats even enjoy playing with ice cubes and, without realising it, end up drinking more!
