December has a way of revealing patterns and boy oh boy I noticed them during the holidays.
⚓️When things slow down, what we tolerate becomes clearer.
⚓️What we overcommit to becomes louder.
⚓️And what our nervous systems actually need becomes harder to ignore.
I stepped back from socials over the festive season — intentionally.
Not because I had nothing to say… but because I wanted to live it first.
What I observed was this:
⛱️So many of us are exhausted by “tradition”.
⛱️By obligation disguised as celebration.
⛱️By saying yes when our bodies are quietly asking for rest.
🏝️December showed me how deeply guilt is wired into
the way we show up socially.
🏝️How approval still drives decisions.
🏝️How rest still feels like rebellion.
Self-protection isn’t dramatic.
It’s subtle.
It’s choosing fewer plans.
Clearer boundaries.
Quieter mornings.
More space to breathe.
And yes — my inner perfectionist needed December to close properly before we step into 2026 😌
Some things deserve to be finished with intention.
