Grateful and humbled.
“JAAR” winning Best Feature Film in the South Asian Panorama at the Nepal International Film Festival means a lot to us. The jury’s words about the film’s portrayal of love, desire, rebellion, and the realities of gender oppression in 19th-century Nepal truly resonate with why we set out to tell this story.
This recognition belongs to the entire team of Jaar, our cast, crew, co-producers, and all our supporters who stood by the film through every phase. Thank you for believing in it.
It was also incredibly enriching to connect and network with fellow filmmakers, jury members, and producers. And of course, heartfelt thanks for the wonderful hospitality.
