I’m at the 2026 National School Safety Conference in Orlando. Tomorrow I will be presenting, Today, I am learning!

In my first session, Dr. Wong spoke about school shooters and their psychological makeup. It’s so interesting to see the level of psychological harm that has happened to these babies.

Much of this can be prevented with the proper supports within school and community.

School districts and tax papers are paying 100’s of Millions AFTER an incident occurs.

My second session is about School Safety Assessment. Showing principals how to make their school safer.

Vendors are making Billions selling products to schools from drones, to armed personnel, bulletin proof windows, fencing, advanced locking doors, AI surveillance and so much more. If our society had more intelligence, they would invest on the front end and spend less on the reactive end.

It has to be tough being a child today. When I was in school, we had fire and tornado drills… today there are active shooter drills. Where have we come as a society.
