Gearing up to raise some $$$ for the Reservoir High Performing Arts Centre. Tix available through TryBooking.

Kinematic are a Melbourne/Naarm indie-rock-folk institution that’s somehow spent over 20 years being described as “one of the city’s most underrated bands” and “the live scene’s best-kept secret.”

Formed in 2000, Kinematic have built a long, slow-burn career around original songwriting, rich harmonies and a deep love of live performance. Across hundreds of shows, six studio albums, scores of singles and even a self-produced live concert film, they’ve learned that the real magic happens when audiences feel invited in.

Kinematic includes an RHS Dad on drums and Reservoir Bounce will be their first show at Shotkickers, where they’ll be turning things up a little to celebrate the release of new single, Louder – a track remixed to mark the 20th Anniversary of their first album, 2005’s Time & Place.

At Reservoir Bounce on Sunday 15 March, Kinematic will be taking to the stage at 4.25pm.

You can hear more of Kinematic, including their new single, at https://kinematicmusic.bandcamp.com/

Tickets for Reservoir Bounce – an afternoon jam-packed with local music, including performances from RHS music students, staff and alumni - are still available via TryBooking: https://www.trybooking.com/events/landing/1532180

End of Endlessly: Ryan Sterling & Kinematic 12/01/2026

Well, we'd planned on sharing a lot more of the amazing performances from our Kristmas Show in the lead up to Christmas, but then the world got in the way. It was such a hard comedown from the feel good vibes of the weekend before and it didn't feel right sharing these as our country faced such tragedy, confusion and grief, even at Christmas time.

In 2026, the world goes on and the madness continues, but it feels like the right time to remind everyone that there's still plenty of goodness out there. We were so inspired by how our musical friends and accomplices came together to raise money for the Anna Wearne Trust on 6 December.

This is Ryan Sterling's End of Endlessly. Hard to imagine that Ryan was a little nervous to play it on electric - including the incredible solo at the end - but as soon as he played at our only rehearsal, we knew we were onto something special. Thanks mate for your magical performance.

More highlights to come ...
