Racket Town Jewel Queen

This Amazonite stone sat on my work table for some time before I attempted to work with it. The stone is large, irregular shaped, not drilled and had an area of matrix that in my opinion detracted from its appearance. I considered wire wrapping but chose to work with filigree to create something more elegant(imo). A friend and mentor once asked “What did you do with the back?”. Since then, I never neglect to create something pleasing for the back that compliments the completed design of the front.
