Now for something mildly different!

Bit of a funny one, but this polaroid portrait was my idea for a client who wanted perhaps the most elaborate powerpoint presentation of all time designed. It involved reading through the presentation and trying to create illustrations that encompassed the themes on each page. Believe me when I tell you that corporate language can be vague at best, so I had to dig deep into my semiotics vault!

This was the result of one of said digging sessions, giving a face and an old school touch to one of the companies programmer profiles.

Completed in acrylic and ink.

Et maintenant, quelque chose de légèrement différent !

C'est un peu drôle, mais ce portrait polaroïd est une idée que j'ai eue pour un client qui voulait une présentation Powerpoint peut-être la plus élaborée de tous les temps. Il s'agissait de lire la présentation et d'essayer de créer des illustrations qui englobaient les thèmes de chaque page. Croyez-moi quand je vous dis que le langage de l'entreprise peut être vague au mieux, alors j'ai dû creuser profondément dans mon coffre-fort sémiotique !

Voici le résultat d'une de ces séances de fouille, donnant un visage et une touche old school à l'un des profils de programmeur de l'entreprise.

Lyon- a postcard in acrylic!

Feeling inspired by a postcard themed painting I painted of Max the German pointer (thanks , I thought I'd try my hand at another.

This time what better subject than my adopted home, Lyon? Front and center is one of the beautiful swans that got me through last winter. Venturing out in freezing cold and being battered by the Mistral was not at all inviting, until I started to feed the swans on the Rhone in the afternoon. They get a handful of seeds and I drop the hermit act for a bit, perfect!

Completed lovingly in acrylic, expect to see some prints of this appear probably tomorrow.

Shout out to the sexy for their enthusiasm for the previous postcard, it really pushed me to run with the idea.

Lyon - une carte postale en acrylique !

Inspirée par la carte postale de Max, le pointeur allemand, je me suis dit que j'allais essayer d'en faire une autre.

Cette fois-ci, quel meilleur sujet que ma ville d'adoption, Lyon ? Au premier plan se trouve l'un des magnifiques cygnes qui m'ont permis de passer l'hiver dernier. S'aventurer dans le froid glacial et être battu par le Mistral n'était pas du tout invitant, jusqu'à ce que je commence à nourrir les cygnes sur le Rhône dans l'après-midi. Ils reçoivent une poignée de graines et je laisse tomber mon rôle d'ermite pour un moment, c'est parfait !

Réalisé avec amour à l'acrylique, attendez-vous à voir apparaître des prints de ce tableau probablement demain.
