President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, on a landmark visit to Ogun State today, commissioned the newly completed international airport in Ipẹru, describing it as a transformative infrastructure project that will accelerate economic growth and regional connectivity.

The President commended Governor Dapo Abiodun for his visionary leadership and commitment to sustainable development, noting that the project reflects a strategic investment in the future of the state. He emphasized that the airport will serve as a major gateway for commerce, industry, and tourism, positioning Ogun State as a critical hub within Nigeria’s economic corridor.

In a symbolic and widely discussed moment, former President Olusegun Obasanjo warmly received President Tinubu in Ipẹru, drawing public attention with his appearance in attire reminiscent of the President’s signature style a gesture widely interpreted as one of unity and statesmanship.

The newly commissioned airport is expected to significantly enhance logistics, attract foreign and domestic investment, create employment opportunities, and ease the movement of goods and people. Its strategic location near key industrial zones will reduce transportation costs and improve supply chain efficiency for businesses operating within and beyond Ogun State.

President Tinubu reiterated the Federal Government’s commitment to infrastructure development as a catalyst for national prosperity, while Governor Abiodun expressed gratitude for the support received, affirming that the airport marks a new chapter of growth, innovation, and global relevance for Ogun State.
