"Learn to do well; seek judgment, relieve the oppressed, judge the fatherless, plead for the widow."
-Isaiah 1:17

Inspiration:
Israel in Isaiah's day had a form of relgiosity and honored Jehovah God with their lips, but the hearts of most of the people were far from Him. To merely follow outward rituals, sings hymns and songs, attend church services, and profess to follow the Lord falls short of the mark. We must learn by his grace to truly obey God from the heart. We must cultivate a concern for others' welfare, especially the poor and downtrodden.

Prayer ๐Ÿ™
O God, you see through hypocrisy, however well disguised. You know our hearts and minds even better than we know them ourselves. O Searcher of hearts, search me today with the light of your Word to see if there be any wicked way in me. Purge me from every sin and set me free to serve you in sincerity and truth. Amen. ๐Ÿ™

"Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the LORD for ever."
-Psalms 236

Inspiration:
This salvation is eternal; which means that yes, surely, we will get to dwell in the house of the Lord forever. The love of God will never cast us out; drawing us closer to God, instead. God's goodness and mercy will always be with us, because we are God's children and He desires that we dwell in His goodness and in His mercy, forever.

Prayer ๐Ÿ™
Dear God, I am so grateful to be Your child. Thank you, Father, for Your goodness and Your mercy which are the core part of my life. Father, I am grateful that I get to spend eternity with You; there is no place I'd rather be. Lord, I pray that more people will encounter Your word, so that they too are compelled to become saved and spend an eternity with You too. In Jesus' name, I pray. Amen. ๐Ÿ™

"Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path."
Psalm 119:105

Inspiration:

The word of God is what guides our lives and keeps us from the darkness. We hear God's word through His Spirit, the Holy Spirit, in times of prayer; and we also hear His word through the Scriptures we read. Keep your mind fixed on the word of God, it will continually keep you safe, keep you encouraged, and keep you wise so that you will always be wary of the ways of the enemy.

Prayer ๐Ÿ™
Dear God, you alone are Lord โ€“ nothing compares to you! You created the heavens and the earth and have given us a home here where we can serve you. May we worship you all our days, O Lord. When we become complacent, remind us of your amazing creation. When we begin to question your power, help us to see the brilliance of your design for the skies, the sea, and land. Thank you for giving life to the world and to us. You give and take away โ€“ and we thank you for it. In Jesus' name, amen. ๐Ÿ™

According to my earnest expectation and my hope, that in nothing I shall be ashamed, but that with all boldness, as always, so now also Christ shall be magnified in my body, whether it be by life, or by death.
Philippians 1:20

Inspiration:
It is easy to be fearful or worried about how nonbelievers will perceive you; however, as the Apostle Paul shows, we have nothing to be ashamed of when it comes to Jesus Christ! Instead, we should boldly share our faith in Jesus with others. Yes, people have suffered for their faith (and some have even died), but we should be courageous enough to allow both our lives and our sufferings to display Jesus boldly.

Prayer
Dear God, thank you for loving me enough to send Your Son to save my life. Thank you for not turning away from me while I was yet a sinner even though You had every reason to be ashamed of me. Forgive me for the times when I was ashamed and scared to share my faith in You with others. Give me the boldness to share Your hope with others. In Jesus' name, amen. ๐Ÿ™

"Meditate upon these things; give thyself wholly to them; that thy profiting may appear to all. Take heed unto thyself, and unto the doctrine; continue in them: for in doing this thou shalt both save thyself, and them that hear thee."
1 Timothy 4:15-16

Inspiration:
Meditate upon these things; give thyself wholly to them; that thy profiting may appear to all. Take heed unto thyself, and unto the doctrine; continue in them: for in doing this thou shalt both save thyself, and them that hear thee.

Prayer
O Lord, help me to find a quiet time to meditate on your Word. And let it also be my meditation all the day. Help my thoughts to turn to you in the little pauses and intermediate moments of this day. I know you can change me through Spirit-led meditations on your Word and that you can bless others as a result as well. Amen. ๐Ÿ™

"With all lowliness and meekness, with longsuffering, forbearing one another in love; Endeavouring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace."
Ephesians 4:2-3

Inspiration:
To walk worthy of our calling by God (verse 1), we must be lowly, meek, patient, loving, and seekers of unity and peace. Our basis of unity with other believers is described in verses 4 to 6 of this chapter of Ephesians. But note that it is these qualities described here in verses 2 and 3 that let us practically enjoy this unity.

Prayer ๐Ÿ™
Give us a spirit of unity, O Lord, for Christ is not divided. Where true grounds for godly unity exists, let us joyfully embrace it! Let us never fall prey to a party spirit but always rejoice in the common ground that we share with all true Christians. Amen.

And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by him.
Collossians 3:17

Inspiration:
Ask yourself honestly how often daily do you consider God in what you do. Is he there only in times of crisis, or in the evening prayer before bed? Incorporating God into our daily lives can be a challenge, especially given the pace of the world around us. But continually try we must, in either our exchanges with others or in doing our best to better the world, in whatever small way we can, each and every day. Next time you donate money to a cause, think of God and pray for its recipients. Next time at mealtime, instead of just a prayer before, thank the Lord after the meal too. These need to be grand gestures, they may simply be little cumulative moments, but in the end, it adds up to a richer life, one wherein the Almighty is always present, incorporated into the very fabric of one's daily routine.

Prayer ๐Ÿ™
Father who art in Heaven, I thank you for never leaving my side, and pray I may do the same for You. Help me devote my life and soul to Your love, and may You never stray from my thoughts. For You are my rock, O Lord, through which I wish to worship You through all I say and do. For You are the power and the glory, forever and ever, Amen.

And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.
Romans 8:28

Inspiration:
We are loved by God and, as His children, we have been called according to a purpose that He has set for our lives. Knowing this, we know that in all things, everything will always work out. Be it in life or be it in death, victory always belongs to us because we are in Christ. There is no person, no force, spirit or power, that will ever be able to change what God has set to be so.

Prayer ๐Ÿ™
Dear God, I thank you for the confidence that I have in you, knowing that all things will work out because I am a child of God. I thank you Lord that to live means I am given more opportunities to spread the gospel, and to die is gain as well because it simply means I am returning to you. Knowing this, I am confident in all things because I know that, as your beloved, things will always work out to the glory of your name. In Jesus' name, I pray. Amen.

He hath shewed thee, O man, what is good; and what doth the LORD require of thee, but to do justly, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with thy God?
Micah 6:8

Inspiration:
"Does God ask too much of us? At times it may seem impossible to live the way that He wants us to, but is it really so difficult to love our neighbors? To act justly? To be humble? Stop and think about which one is actually more difficult: living as God intends, with faith, mercy, and love, or a life without them.

Prayer ๐Ÿ™
Forgive me, O Lord, for not always living in a way that is meaningful in Your eyes. Help us to walk humbly by Your side, pick us up when we fall, and do the same to others on their journey. I will live as You command and leave everything else to You, my God. I ask all of this in Jesus' name. Amen. ๐Ÿ™

"Woe to the idol shepherd that leaveth the flock! the sword shall be upon his arm, and upon his right eye: his arm shall be clean dried up, and his right eye shall be utterly darkened."
Zechariah 11:17

Inspiration:
The shepherd who leaves his flock is not good. He will get what he deserves. The good news is this: we have a good shepherd, Jesus. He is the best shepherd, and He never leaves us, His flock. He protects us. If even one wanders away, He goes after him or her. Let's be thankful that we serve the good shepherd Jesus.

Prayer
Lord, You are good. You, Jesus, truly are the best shepherd. Thank You for looking out for us. For going after us when we try to wander away. We do not deserve to have such a good shepherd like You, but You care for us anyways. It was nothing I did that made me lovable, and yet You choose to love me. Thank You. In Jesus' name. Amen.๐Ÿ™
