So much to be grateful for ALWAYS… but at least today let’s take some intentional time to reflect on all we’re grateful for. And let’s not forget to whom we should be grateful… the Creator of the universe, the One from whom all blessings fall. Thank you Jesus for ALL THINGS.

Regardless of how challenging some days are, remembering there’s so much to be grateful for… even the same things that cause said challenges. That’s how I keep my heart full of gratefulness.

Sometimes I find myself worrying if I’m being too kind or too tender hearted. I worry that people will take advantage of me, walk all over me and think they can just do what they want. I feel this pressure within me to stand up for myself, exert my rights. Just yesterday someone parked in front of one of our driveways and as I decided to just leave a note and not tow their car, I wondered if I was letting them get away with “it”. As if someone were watching me thinking “Vero, you can’t let them walk all over you.”

But that’s not what Christ tells us. One thing my husband says and I thought of last night and now, I don’t have to defend myself, God will. He tells us to be kind, tender hearted, and to forgive one another. Maybe to the world I may seem too “soft” but I know God has been “soft” with me.

Motherhood keeps me so busy creating has really taken a backseat. I originally planned to do this challenge when my friend Margo told me about it, but quickly I forgot. However, today I had this tug to create something just for the sake of creating, specific with lettering. I was prompted back to this challenge.

If you’re seeing this today, take it as a reminder that when you pray you’re not just throwing words into the air, you’re not lifting your voice in a worldly hopeful attempt to manifest a difference in your life… no, you are speaking to the Creator of the universe and He truly hears you. So when you open up your mouth to pray, ask yourself: “Do I believe God hears what I’m saying and do I believe He will answer?” And then believe that it is so… just as He assures us in His word.
