今回、国スポ開会式のおもてなし演技にて、滋賀・琵琶湖の四季を表現する中で「冬」のソリストを務めさせていただきます。
振付家の成美さんから「母なる湖」というイメージをいただき、私自身の名前の由来である“雪”、そして湖といえば“白鳥”と、思いがけない繋がりを感じながら、この役に向き合っています。
春・夏・秋を担うダンサーたちは、若くフレッシュで、それぞれに素敵な個性があります。私は彼らの母になれる年齢でもあり、この舞台を通して次の世代へバトンを渡せたらと願っています。

At the National Sports Festival Opening Ceremony, I will have the honor of performing as the soloist for “Winter” in a piece that expresses the four seasons of Shiga and Lake Biwa.
Choreographer described winter as the image of the “Mother Lake.” With my name originating from “snow,” and with lakes often associated with swans, I feel a beautiful connection to this role and have been reflecting deeply on its meaning.

The dancers representing spring, summer, and autumn are all young, fresh, and full of individuality. Being at the age where I could be their mother, I hope to pass the baton on to the next generation through this performance.

今年、滋賀で開催される「わたSHIGA輝く国スポ」の開会式に出演することになりました。
滋賀での開催は44年ぶりで、前回開催された年に私は生まれ、母がその開会式に携わっていました。このご縁が、今回出演を決める大きな理由のひとつでした。
約1000人の皆さんとの共演、そしてスタジアムでの演技は、これまでオンラインでリハーサルを重ねてきた私にとって未知の世界ですが、心から楽しみにしています！

This year, I will be performing at the Opening Ceremony of the WataSHIGA Kagayaku Kokutai (National Sports Festival) in Shiga.
It is the first time in 44 years that the festival has been held in Shiga. The last time it was hosted here was the year I was born—and my mother was involved in that Opening Ceremony. This connection was a big reason why I decided to take part this time.

I will be performing together with about 1,000 people in a stadium setting. For someone like me, who has mainly been rehearsing with others online, this will be a whole new world—but I’m truly looking forward to the experience!
