Mattix went 14th to 6th Saturday at Port City Raceway. Track was in great shape. Unfortunately a lapper had a steering malfunction in the last corner of the last lap and took him out.

KK slid into Sawyer’s suit and hopped into Mattix’s car for this year’s powder puff. She set quick time in her qualifying group, putting herself in a strong starting spot for the A main. Rolling off 3rd, she ran the cush early, gaining momentum and making a run at 2nd before making contact with the backstretch wall. After a restart, she lost a couple of spots and ultimately finished 6th. She had a blast!
