Vivian Maier was discovered by accident when someone purchased the contents of a storage unit that she could no longer pay for. The unit contained hundreds of film rolls that belonged to Vivian Maier, primarily a nanny from NY. This eccentric woman would walk the streets of NY with her juvenile charges whilst taking pictures with her Rollieflex camera. She never sought notoriety or fame, though it came to her posthumously. Her amazing skill at composition shows in her photos, and her ability to take such great pictures using a piece of equipment that would confuse most current photographers is even more impressive.
