"I was detected with cancer at the age of 45(1901), doctors told me I would only survive for 6 months or may be a little more. I and my family were totally devastated after hearing the news, I went through a couple of Kemo sessions for 6 months hoping it to be cured, but cells still persist. I remembered once being told by a wise man, "in order overcome your problems try and solve others". I had a very little time, so I decided to implement this, I couldn’t think of any better place to start with than my roots. I visited India (Punjab) to start my mindfulness journey by serving humanity and handed over all my problems to GOD. I helped at the local Gurudwara, serving langars, evening prayers and listening to devotes stories/problems. I was so busy serving people that I totally forgot about my problems. After a year I returned back to the UK, went for my check-up and was being told that my cancer was cured. Since that day, I said to myself that I will never miss a chance to serve humanity and never did. I can only tell you “If you do something with faith and will, you can overcome anything”. I am 72 now and a great grandfather. I even had my quadrilateral bypass surgery at 60 and survived that too.”
