Earlier this fall, Fort Benning conducted our annual mass casualty exercise to test the installation’s emergency preparedness and readiness. In the tornado-touchdown scenario, Soldiers and staff cared for 20 casualties across multiple locations on post, all while keeping the installation's residents, employees and the outside public informed.
“Exercises like this one provide the opportunity to practice interoperability with other installation commands and organizations, establish and maintain key relationships, and practice our essential response skills at a higher level of performance,” Thomas Wiley Incident Commander, Assistant Chief, Health, and Safety, Fort Benning Fire and Emergency Services, said.
