I haven’t been posting much of my usual electric oud looping. I’ve been working hard getting ready for MEME (Middle-Eastern Music Ensemble) concert tomorrow at University of Chicago’s Logan Center for the Arts. This has been some of the hardest work with music that I have done in my life, but super rewarding and fulfilling. I have worked to read music better, to play with other great musicians, and to learn a lot of music in a short period of time. I will be posting videos from the concert soon. For now I wanted to share what it looks like to practice and prepare to play with about 30 other musicians and a dozen or so singers.
