The Mirror of Encounters

Today, I experienced two sides of human connection.

The first began with a simple "hello" — a word so small, yet capable of opening unexpected doors. What followed was a three-hour conversation that flowed as naturally as a river finding its course. Time dissolved. Laughter came easily. Thoughts intertwined. In those moments, I felt the quiet magic of being understood without effort.

Later, I met another woman. Within three minutes, culminating from a response to a question she asked: she told me not to antagonize her. No spark, no flow — only tension, as if we were speaking two different languages entirely.

Same day. Same me. Two utterly different worlds.

It left me wondering — how can one presence evoke warmth in one person and defensiveness in another?

Perhaps we are not simply individuals meeting individuals, but energies meeting energies, histories meeting histories.

Every encounter is a mirror reflecting not just who "we" are, but where "they" are — and where "life" finds us in that fleeting moment.

Some people meet us with open hands; others, with shields already raised. Neither reaction defines us — it only reveals the countless unseen layers shaping human connection.

So I remind myself: my role is not to be received the same way by everyone, but to remain authentic in my approach — to greet the world with curiosity, not control.

Because sometimes, a hello will turn into a three-hour conversation that nourishes the soul.
And sometimes, it will last only three uneasy minutes.

Both, in their own way, are teachers!
