We all know that running in the heat can be hard work.
At times, you can feel really sluggish and heavy & that’s not just because you’ve been knocking the beers back in the local beer garden, there’s a real reason for it!
When the weather heats up, your body has to work much harder to try and keep you cool. Your heart rate will often climb higher than normal, you’ll sweat more, lose more fluids and your body can temporarily hold onto extra water too.
That means runs can feel harder, paces can slow down and yes… even the scales can sometimes creep up despite you doing everything “right”.
Keep going … it’s only temporary 🙌
