The 2026 Census of Agriculture & Fisheries is Coming!
The Census of Agriculture and Fisheries (CAF) is a nationwide survey capturing vital data on farms and fisheries — including land use, crops, livestock, and fishing practices.
The census is scheduled to take place from the March 9, 2026 – October 30, 2026.
Why it matters:
Reliable data drives smarter decisions. CAF 2026 will provide data that will:
✅ Strengthen food security
✅ Deliver targeted support to farmers and fishers
✅ Allocate funding, training, and resources more effectively
✅ Improve disaster recovery and resilience
✅ Ensure every farmer and fisher is counted and recognized
This will be the first-ever dedicated Fisheries Census and the most comprehensive agriculture update in years — reflecting major shifts in climate, land use, and livelihoods.
The Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Rural Transformation and the Ministry of Fisheries, Marine and Land Conservation, and Climate Resilience, in collaboration with Ministry of Finance, Economic Planning and Private Sector Development, the 2026 CAF will shape national planning, policy for years to come.
